Consumption Rating
Our Consumption Rating is based on how much a product consumes in terms of natural resources (e.g. water and energy). Products that meet high-efficiency performance standards consume less, and therefore incur lower impacts on the environment and on your pocketbook.
The rating is formulated according to a product’s consumption of natural resources relative to other comparable products within a given category.
The higher the Consumption Rating, the more efficient and less-consuming of natural resources the product.
In the case of renewable energy products and technologies, the Consumption Rating is based on the equivalent of natural resources saved as a result of the product or technology's implementation.
